Manifest is about the freedom to imagine yourself differently.
The woman in this painting isn’t anyone in particular. I painted her as a feeling: feminine, strong, light, and completely in her own flow.
She moves through a vivid blue sky with nothing beneath her to hold her up. There’s an ease to her that I love…as though she trusts herself enough to stop fighting gravity for a while.
For a long time, I had become disconnected from the simple act of asking myself what I wanted. Returning to art meant practising that again. Choosing colours because I liked them. Following an idea because it interested me. Making something without needing permission or justification.
Manifest holds some of that feeling for me.
It’s about imagining the woman you might become when you begin making your own choices again. It’s not about a perfect future version of yourself, but one who feels increasingly at home in her own life.
