Voice Meets Truth: Fine Art Print
Voice Meets Truth is an abstract self-portrait about losing my voice and finding it again.
The figure stands in tree pose, rooted on one leg, eyes closed, hands raised above her head. All around her, gold geometric shapes break apart and crowd the space. They’re chaotic and loud, and they demand attention and room. She doesn’t push them away. She stays balanced in the middle of them.
A small blue bird rests on her knee. It marks her voice: quiet, but present and steady.
A white rabbit passes through her body. It represents fertility, and a deeply personal choice I made about my body and my future. I painted it faded and transparent because it is still part of me, but it is no longer the whole of me. It’s something I carry, not something that defines where I’m going.
That choice was one of the hardest experiences of my life, emotionally. For a while, everything around me felt like noise, and I couldn’t hear myself through it. With time, I found my way back to my own voice, and to a personal truth I could stand on.
Voice Meets Truth holds all of that for me: the difficulty, the grief, and the slow return to myself. She is grounded in new beliefs now, and steady enough to let the past pass through her without being knocked off balance.
